Knee Recovery UPDATE:

The Recovery is going well... good days and bad. Grandma Katie will be in Boise this weekend and will recover some more.

Thank you for all your prayers and meals and visits and gifts... they have all helped in the swift recovery - Things are going very well and Katie was able to remove the bandage and shower today... always a great feeling.

We recieved several meals form the friends in our ward and neighbors... We thank them too.

We Love yuo all and thank you for your Love.

Knee Time

Grandma Katie will be having her knee operated on - thank you girls for encouraging her to see the doctor - this Friday. She thinks she will be up to going into work Monday - Girls!!! Encouragement to stay down?

A Week at IKEA (One Night)

This past weekend I was able to go to the grand store - IKEA - I had been to the Ikea store in Seattle many years ago and looked forward to going to the "new Ikea". I was blessed to go with my wonderful wife and darling daughter (Carly)... they spent the time looking for specific things they needed and would take back to Boise with Carly. - - - I looked at a way to remodel the bathroom and the master bedroom in my house and use the many styles and configurations to use the space more wisely with the space saving furniture. I also should see my unfinished office completely furnished and decorated - at a reasonable price.

Somehow the time flew by and I found myself wanting to stay longer - so I did. I haven't really left yet... My body came home with the family, but the mind and the dreaming have remained. I'm not sure I will really ever get out of that store. . . it has been nearly a week.

Now what? Do I leave and get home? Do I go back and feel the wallet lighten? Or - I'll just enjoy the time I have left here at the fine IKEA.

I Kind of Enjoyed this - Alot.

That Old Goose

My parents [Don & Effie] and Aunt Jane on a recent visit to Aunt Jane's house in Magna, UT.

When I was a little boy that old goose would chase me around my Aunts Jane's pasture... It's still alive... 38 years old. On this recent visit the goose chased me again. I even ran, as in my youth... but, this time I was even on the other side of the fence from That OLD GOOSE.

It was great to know things rarely change - -

When Katie and I first met I went to Impact with her. We had to introduce ourselves as a car that depicted us. I introduced myself as a Rolls-Royce.

I finally found the one that truly is me.

[first of all, one of the truly great things about being in this great (Allen) family is how well we know each other... I usually find out about me and what I am doing next from someone else - I love it.]

Here we go:

1. Never a felon, I have a few moving violations, but never a felon.

2. I bought "Under the Tuscon Sun" - - - - - - for me.

3. My computer game is broken.

4. I love dogs - Bernese Mountain Dog? - sounds like a wonderful pet.

5. There is great joy in my life if someone is using my yard - climbing the tree, eating the fruit from the trees, playing or picnicking on the lawn, playing in the playhouse, or playing in the sandbox.

6. I wrote in a journal, every day, for fifteen years... stopped cold turkey and have not picked up that pen since. Someday I will start again.

It's difficult to clean up after being tagged.

Being at the stadium so early allows me to see these great images and feel of the electricity. It seems as if the Stadium, tho empty, is filling with ALL those who have played here and All those who have been here to watch, are rushing about hurrying the game to begin.
